How to Build a Bathroom Vanity
Assembling a bathroom vanity is the planning and development of many parts, none of which require advanced skills plumbing. The process will be easier if the sink faucet vanity before fixing the sink in the cabinet is installed. Once the sink is installed, you will have a harder time tighten connections of keys and arming the plug assembly. If connections leak after installing bathroom vanity, tighten a quarter turn until the leak stops completely.
Measure the area where you will install the bathroom vanity. Vanity should not obstruct the doors open, face other obstacles in the bathroom. Use a stud finder to locate wall studs and mark. Slide the vanity against the wall. Place the vanity sink between two stands, but leave enough room to maneuver around the sink. Insert the sink faucet through mounting holes in sink and cover plate.
Wrap Teflon tape around the open bottom of the faucet and the water supply valves threads. Pass the water supply lines in the bottom of the sink and valves. Use a basin wrench to tighten the nuts onto the faucet. Use adjustable wrench to tighten the nuts on the water supply valves. Turn the water supply valve handles clockwise until they stop.
Making Bathroom Vanity from Old Dresser
Convert a dresser in a toilet for the bathroom vanity is a project that most people who enjoy it yourself projects can handle. Choose a sturdy cabinet with height sufficient for this purpose or consider adding legs to the bottom to display in a comfortable position. Inspect the cabinet to decide where to place the sink. Get the drawers and supports that stand in the way.
Put the template provided with sink, in position on the dresser and draw its outline. If your sink does not come with a template, place it face down on the dresser and outlines its contour on the dresser. Go to the back of the dresser and trace the section that will be cut to accommodate the tubes of water for bathroom vanity. Use a saw to cut the traced openings on the new toilet.
Consider using only the front of the drawer and paste in place bathroom vanity. Slide the toilet instead. Place the sink and the faucet in place and switches the supply hot and cold water.
